SPRING '09

1. 15 Step - Radiohead
In Rainbows final gets on my list after Radiohead's amazing performance at the 2009 Grammy's
2. That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
A catchy cheer from this up and coming two piece.
3. Please Don't Leave Me - Pink
Number one in a series of three guilty pleasures. Just plain catchy.
4. I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
Not that endorse Fergie, but this song just makes me feel good.
5. Jai Ho! - Pussycat Dolls
Slum Dog Millionaire is an AMAZING movie. I don't listen to PCD!
6. Another Saturday Night - Cat Stevens
Do a search at the close of each day for songs with days of the week in the title, and you get this!
7. One Day Like This - Elbow
Elbow = Muse level awesomeness.
8. Spaceman - The Killers
I love the costume driven music video to this sweet hit.
9. The Wind Blows - All American Rejects
AAR prove once more they're the best 80's band founded in the new millennium.
10. Color Blind - Natalie Walker
Thank you pandora. A good cover that catches this emotional piece superbly.

WINTER 2008
1. Space and Time - Cheers Elephant
This local Philly act caught my ear months ago. On my birthday they released this CD.
2. Don't Stop (Explicit) - Innerpartysystem
Also from PA. A dark but catchy look at the entertainment industry. "AIDEM EHT MA I"
3. Scream - Chris Cornell
Timbaland + Cornell = Peter Gabriel + Hip Hop.
4. Deep Blue - Rodrigo Leao
Discovered at random on my MP3 player of all places. Sounds like a Cowboy Bebop track.
5. Godan daginn - Sigur Ros
Smooth acoustic goodness from these Icelandic hit-makers
6. Monsoon - Tokio Hotel
Both RockBand and the radio at work turned me onto these teenage German rock-stars.
7. Propane Nightmares - Pendulum
Radio 104.5 contributes to my playlist once more.
8. Ghost Town - Shiny Toy Guns
The new singer takes it home in this high ranking track off the new STG CD.
9. Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
I once turned a blind eye to this "Southern Strokes" band. NO MORE.
10. Perfect Symmetry - Keane
The title track off Keanes new album shows that they've yet to loose their chops.
11. How it Ends - DeVotchka
A tribute to the missing track on my brothers last playlist, truely a moving peice.

SUMMER 2008

SUMMER 2008
1. Shake it - Metro Station
Miley Cyrus's brother's band. A song I love to hate or hate to love?
2. Leavin' - Jesse McCartney
For whatever reason I like the "toy-soldier" type beat in this song.
3. Time To Pretend - MGMT
This seemingly carefree tune yields a deeper message than it first lets on.
4. Academia - SiA
Quircky little diddy that preceded my final acting performance at Eastern.
5. My Own Worst Enemy - George Stanford
Discovered while sipping coffee at Milk Boy coffee house.
6. My People - The Presets
Stumbled upon their YouTube video and instantly liked it.
7. Highly Suspicious - My Morning Jacket
Some burning hot funk music from...Kentucky?
8. Grounds for Divorce - Elbow
Dirty. Sexy. Indie.
9. Anika - The Superficials
Despite being a recent band, Rhapsody filed these guys under 60's Oldies?
10. Sometime Around Midnight - The Airborne Toxic Event
Philly's WXPN radio delivers another sweet discovery
11. I Don't Care - Apocalyptica
No guitars. Those are Cello's rocking out with distortion!

MARCH 2008

MARCH 2008:
1. Is There a Ghost - Band Of Horses
A solid recommendation from a friend at school.
2. A-Punk - Vampire Weekend
I avoided this band until they're video graced my TV. Love the flutes!
3. Shake A Fist - Hot Chip
My first pick off their new albums as it was for "Current" TV.
4. With You (Main Version) - Chris Brown
I enjoyed the video. This guy just seems more genuine than most.
5. Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol
Lasagna Cat introduced me to this 80's pop/punk-ballad
6. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - Muse
Brad's playlist had the original. I couldn't help but press the Muse.
7. Robots (Live) - Flight Of The Conchords
Funny stuff from this awesome comic duo.
8. Falling Slowly - Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova
Winner of Best Original Song at the Oscars, and it's clear why.
9. Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin
Good listening for those who've been in a car accident.

DECEMBER 07

DECEMBER 07:
1. Questions - Mike Rayburn
From one of the better gifts my parents gave me this Christmas.
2. Cliffs Of Dover - Tommy Angelo
Guitar Hero III introduced me to this catchy finger-bleeder.
3. Beds Are Burning - Novaspace
A remix of Midnght Oil's classic, whose singer was just named Austrailia's Environment Minister!
4. Spirit Walker - Ween
My room-mate showed me this track off of Ween's newest album.
5. Last Christmas - Jimmy Eat World
JEW covering WHAM! makes for a delightful holiday treat.
6. Shadow Of The Day - Linkin Park
I thought this was Relient K at first. A (great) departure for LP.
7. Your Party - Ween
This song goes out to my brother and his wife.
8. A Little Priest (Highlights version) - Stephen Sondheim
Sweeny Todd's most (in)famous song asks "what are we going to do with the bodies?" (relatively spoiler free since the opening credits give this one away)

NOVEMBER 07

NOVEMBER 07:
1. Sixteen - Demon Hunter
Heavy and melodious. This is just one of many great tracks.
2. Secret Crowds - Angels And Airwaves
Again, this one song barely does the album justice.
3. Shadowplay - The Killers
The Killers covering Joy Division?? Yes, please!
4. Stuttering - Ben's Brother
Clever and charming. Dentyne Ice deserves the credit for this discovery.
5. Here It Goes - Jimmy Eat World
Last month's single lead me to the album which lead me to this gem!
6. Staralfur [Live] - Sigur Ros
This music goes beyond mere catchiness to being down right inspirational.
